i was stuck with having to upgrade wordpress yet again. seems like i upgrade one for every 4 or 5 posts i do.
Expression Engine still on the sidelines…unsure what i’ll do – but for now, wp has been upgraded and all looks well.
all bitching aside – when you can upgrade a chunk of software after [...]
adios wordpress?

I have the commercial (and unused) version of Expression Engine. I like Wordpress, but its limited IMHO…and i’m so tried of the constant updates…though that’s a double edge sword for sure
one of the obvuios uses is to change the site again to use EE. Seems like the decision will be made before the regualr season [...]

I’ve been messing with XSLT a good bit and decided I needed a small project to work some muscles to their fell extent. When i found that NetFlix offers a number of RSS feeds for their users, I decided to add my NetFlix Queue to my site.

a quantitative answer to why email blows

97% noise, 3% ‘good’ emails.
I average about 1000 attempted email deliveries per day to my mail server. about 30 of them are legit emails, the other 970 are spam attempts that get blocked. Of the 30 that get in, 1 to 5 of them end up being spam.
I don’t care what business your in, imagine [...]
IRobot update

So it’s been about a month since I picked up my IRobot from woot.com. I run it on shave days (Monday, Wednesday, Friday). I turn it on as I walk out the door…I return home with it back in its charging station. I have spotless floors, yet I continue to find about 1/4th of it’s [...]
New Shoes

My new Nike Free 5.0 shoes arrived via UPS from Road Runner Sports today. Nice shoes. I, for one, am a fan of getting as much of the ‘technology’ out of shoes. Over the years I have had lots of ankle/foot issues that I’m convinced have stemmed from shoe ‘advancement’. They do feel the [...]
